200 Wanowrie residents don't want cattle sheds in their backyard

PUNE: The decision to relocate cattle sheds from BacchuAdda to Wanowrie by the Pune Cantonment Board has run into stiff opposition from 200 residents of Katke-Boradevasti over health and hygiene issues.

The residents submitted a memorandum to PCB chief executive officer K V Nagireddy on Wednesday. They were against the shifting of the cattle sheds to Wanowrie. The CEO told them that he would place their grievances in the general body meeting. TIMES OF INDIA

 

Closure of road by defence authorities irks Wanowrie residents

PUNE: Residents of Pune Cantonment area are up in arms against the defence authorities over the closure of the Right Flank Lines road linking Wanowrie Bazaar to the surrounding areas.

The defence authorities constructed a wall across the road next to the Military Intelligence School and depot four days ago, claiming that the land belongs to them. SOURCE TIMES OF INDIA
